The Wedding, the Woman and the Bride of Christ by Rogersings (March 26, 2024)

It’s been a while since I have written an article on my “Die2Live” website … Because for the last few years I have been posting videos on social media warning about the Covid SCAM-Demic and WARP Speed JAB-o-CIDE Agenda that has been perpetrated by the Demonic Deep State Governments of the World on “We the People”. What we are witnessing and FEELING are the “Birth Pains” SIGNS of the approaching Tribulation period that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24.
And while the world is preparing for a WAR with God on earth … God is preparing for a WEDDING in Heaven between His Son, Jesus Christ, the Bridegroom and His Church, the Bride of Christ.
God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit (The Godhead Trinity) are preparing for a WEDDING … Jesus is preparing a place for His Bride in Heaven, “The New Jerusalem” city, God is overseeing the project and progress, while the Holy Spirit calls people on earth to become Christ’s Bride in Heaven, through Salvation from SIN and a new “born-again” in Christ.

This wonderful purpose of God is to join humans Spiritually to Himself through a marriage between Christ and His Bride, BELIEVERS in Christ! It is the mystery of God that was hidden in the Old Testament and revealed in the New Testament through the writings of Paul.
This revelation of the purpose of God should EXCITE a Christian, like a bride who is waiting for her wedding day with her groom because a born-again Christian IS the “Bride of Christ” and she is waiting for her Groom, Jesus Christ, to come snatch her from the dangers of this world and carry her away to her Happy Every After Home where she will be with Christ forever.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
– 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
But Sadly, most people who call themselves “Christians” are either not truly Saved from SIN (Born Again by the Holy Spirit of Faith in Christ) or they walk according to the flesh of the old sin nature reasoning (instead of walking daily by the Holy Spirit of Faith in Christ) which is evident because they remain in FEAR of God, with no change in their Spiritual condition AFTER they believed in Jesus … than BEFORE they believed in Him.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. – Romans 8:1
Instead of renewing their mind according to the Spirit, remembering who they are in Christ … a child of God, no longer under condemnation because Jesus has PAID their sin debt in full … they walk according to the flesh, as they did before they believed, without assurance that Jesus paid their SIN debt, trying to appease their guilty sin conscience by doing good works or doing penitence for sin or trying to buy forgiveness or seeking absolution from man. But this “law-based” relationship with God is wrong and unhealthy … it is like a tortured wife, who fears her abusive husband and cowers to him, hoping he will not BEAT her when he gets home!
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. – 2 Timothy 1:7
But God has NOT given BELIEVERS a spirit of FEAR but of power, love and a sound mind … A Sound mind that KNOWS God is working “good” in them to complete His good work and He is working in the world to complete His “good” plan.
God is good all the time … and all the time God is good.
Yes, Jesus Loves me … the Bible tells me so.
This is not to say that a Christian won’t struggle with FEAR and condemnation of their sin … we will struggle … because our old sin nature remains with us … however, we gain a NEW Spiritual nature that we must constantly CALL upon to counter the attacks of our old sin nature. As long as we are in our earthly body, our old sin nature will continue to Tempt us to sin, Accuse us of our sin and make us Doubt our salvation … and this is why we must WALK according to the Spirit, constantly renewing our mind of who we are in Christ.
If we are truly saved we should not try to hide from God or try to atone for our sins but we should RUN to God, like the prodigal Son for His forgiveness, fellowship and feast. The God who loved us and saved us has PROMISED to complete the good work in us (Philippians 1:6). Therefore when the birds of temptation circle over our head, we need to crucify the flesh, flee from the temptation and call upon our Spiritual power in Christ to overcome sin … by remembering that we are a born-again child of God … Christ lives in me. This is the “Die2Live” life … which is the name of this website.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. – Romans 12:1-2
To lose your life is the “Die 2 Live” CRUCIFIED life of Christ… DEAD to SIN and Alive in Him.
We are to crucify our sinful desires and lean not on our human understanding but Trust in the Lord. We are to walk by the Spirit of God, dwelling upon God’s word, learning more about God’s word, taking everything captive to God in prayer, having an attitude of gratitude and humbleness before God, and remembering Christ is in you and working for you … in this way, His way, the believer bears the fruits of the Spirit … peace, love and joy.
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. – Galatians 2:20
It is UNBELIEVING sinners who should FEAR God … every person is born a sinner with a Self Indulgent Nature (SIN) but an “unbelieving sinner” is a person who has NOT reconciled their sinful nature DEAD by REPENTANCE toward SIN (their physical born old self) and their SOUL ALIVE in Christ (their spiritually born-again new self) by believing in Jesus as his Savior who takes the DEBT of his SIN.
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18).
We are ALL physically born SINNERS and UNBELIEVERS under the curse of DEATH … naturally REBELLIOUS toward God and FEARFUL of Him. Our sin-ridden conscience reminds us that we are enemies of God and we need to make peace with God … which is why we FEAR God. When we look at the beautiful and magnificent creation around us … it is a witness in our conscience of God’s AWESOME Greatness … and our conscience also convicts us of the SIN that brought DECAY and death to God’s creation … so every person is without excuse for ignoring this warning message from God and seeking forgiveness through His Son, Jesus Christ (Romans 1:18-32).
Our conscience convicts us SIN working in us and around us …. causing DEATH and DECAY and if an unbelieving sinner suppresses and ignores the “voice” of their guilty sin conscience telling them to REPENT of SIN and seek Forgviess with God … then eventually God will give them over to their sinful desire and their conscience will become SEARED so it can’t hear the still small voice of God reminding them of their sin. And if they continue in their sin, their mind will become REPROBATE … unable to reason correctly, unafraid of God, unconcerned about their sinful behavior … no longer able to discern right from wrong.
And if they continue in their REPROBATE state of mind without repentance they will become DEMONIC, delighting in doing EVIL, conspiring and competing with other Demonic Minions to steal, kill and destroy others! It is upon the REPROBATE and DEMONIC that God’s WRATH is stored up … God’s enemies are those who have openly REJECTED the gift of Salvation in God’s only begotten Son, Jesus … This is the unforgivable sin!
Satan is the Spiritual husband of those who are Lost in SIN.
Jesus is the Spiritual husband of those who BELIEVE in Him.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
– Ephesians 5:25-27
The Holy Spirit that makes you WHOLE and SEALS you as a born-again child of God, is like an engagement ring of Christ’s love that He gives to His Bride. The Holy Spirit that is given to you when you believe in Jesus as your Savior is the engagement RING from Him that SEALS and sets you apart as His Bride … making you whole, giving you a royal identity, sanctified, as though you are already married, while the Jesus goes to prepare a PLACE for His Bride. And that is where Jesus is now, in Heaven preparing a place, the New Jerusalem, for His Bride, the Church.
Never again will you be called “The Forsaken City” or “The Desolate Land.” Your new name will be “The City of God’s Delight” and “The Bride of God,” (Beulah) for the LORD delights in you and will claim you as His Bride. – Isaiah 62:4
At some point, “a time that nobody knows but the Father” … the PLACE (the New Jerusalem) will be ready and (God) the Father will say to His Son, the Groom (Jesus) … “Go and Get Your Bride” (the Church) and bring her to Her Dwelling Place (Rapture to Heaven), consummate the marriage (7 years in Heaven) and then have a Wedding supper (on Earth) and a 1,000-year Honeymoon (rule and reign with Christ on earth).
It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. – 1 Corinthians 15:52
The snatching way of the Bride of Christ from the earth to Heaven is called the RAPTURE, where those who believe in Christ during the Church Age, both the dead in the graves and those alive, will be caught up together in the air to meet Christ and be given their new resurrected body. Then we will appear before the “Judgment seat of Christ”, the “Bema Seat” for rewards and remembrances of what we have done in Christ … this is the time that the Bride and Groom “consummate” their marriage … this is the process by which we are “made ready” for the Marriage feast that will occur on earth, after the period of God’s judgment upon the earth.
Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. – Revelation 19:7-8
The Bride of Christ will ride with her husband Jesus when He returns to RULE and REIGN over the earth … She will be by His side on a horse, clothed in fine linen, which are the righteous acts of the Saints. The “Righteous Act of a Saint” begins when a sinner believes in their salvation in Christ … this is what makes you a Saint who is righteous before God, justified by Jesus because Jesus justifies those who believe in Him.
Righteous Acts: 1345 dikaíōma (a neuter noun, literally, “a judicially-approved act”) – properly, an act God approves, focusing on its “result” (Zodhiates, Dict, note the -ma ending); justification (righteousness), with its results.
Who then overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. – 1 John 5:5
To become an “Overcomer” who is clothed in Christ’s White Garments of Righteousness you simply BELIEVE in Jesus Christ.
He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. – Revelation 3:5
What we need to OVERCOME in this world is the SIN DEBT of DEATH that is upon us because we are physically born with a sinful nature that is alienated toward God and Spiritually SEPARATED from His Love. This can only be done through a NEW Spiritual birth in Christ. To “BELIEVE” in Jesus Christ gives us victory over our SIN DEBT of DEATH … we become OVERCOMERS by belief in Christ!
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. – Romans 8:37
Redemption – Salvation – Spirit – Believing in Christ to be born-again with an identity of being in Christ – Repenting from being a sinner without Christ to being a believer in Christ – Saved from the PENALITY of sin
Righteousness – Sanctification – Mind/Soul – Becoming who you were created to be Christ by crucifying the sin nature and walking by the Spirit – Remembering who you are in Christ because you believed in Christ – Saved from the POWER of sin
Resurrection – Celebration – Flesh/Body – Being who you were created to be in Christ with a resurrected body and no sin nature – Rejoicing in who you are in Christ because you believed in Christ – Saved from the PRESENCE of sin
- The Wedding of Adam and Eve – the two become one …
Eve, the first Bride is taken out of the side of Adam, the first Groom and the TWO become One. In a similar way the Church, the Bride of Christ, is taken out of the side of Christ, the Groom, on the Cross … His Blood washes away our Sin and makes us Born Again! By faith in Christ, we become One with Christ, He is the Head and we are the Body.
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— – Ephesians 4:16
Christ’s blood at the Cross is like the promise that He will marry His Bride … His blood is like a cup of wine that He offers to His Bride as a proposal for marriage. According to Jewish tradition, the husband-to-be drinks a cup of wine and offers it to His beloved bride-to-be, if she drinks the cup, then they are married … and begin an engagement process, where He goes to prepare a PLACE for His Bride before He comes to GET her and consummate their wedding vow … and then they join the Marriage feast.
Therefore Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you shall have eaten the flesh of the Son of Man, and shall have drunk His blood, you do not have life in yourselves. The one eating My flesh and drinking My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day. – John 6:53-54
When a sinner DRINKS the blood of Jesus they are Spiritually saved from sin, born again and they Enter the Kingdom of God … Then they are supposed to daily EAT the body of Christ … the Spiritual Manna from Heaven to sustain and abide their new life of faith in Christ.
Truly, truly, I say to you, the one believing has eternal life. – John 6:47
Jesus explains that the drinking of His blood and eating of His body is meant to be taken “Spiritually” not literally … To Believe in Jesus is to drink His blood, which is a one time for all time event that washes away a person’s sin so they are Saved and Sealed for Eternal Life … And to Abide in Jesus is to eat His body, which is a daily process of reading His word, remembering His promises, crucifying the flesh, renewing your mind in Christ, trusting and walking by faith in Jesus.
- The Wedding at Cana
On the third day there was a marriage at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; Jesus also was invited to the marriage, with his disciples. When the wine gave out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “O woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you” (John 2:1-5).
The story of the Cana wedding is the main reason that inspired me to write this article … I could not understand why Jesus seemed to rebuke his mother by calling her “woman” and then telling her that miraculously providing wine for this Wedding is not part of God’s will or purpose for Him.
(1) “Was Jesus RUDE to His mother, Mary, in His response to her to provide wine for the Wedding at Cana” and
(2) “Did Mary REALIZE that her request to perform a MIRACLE meant she hastening her Son’s journey to the Cross?”.
I searched through many commentaries about the Cana wedding and there are a LOT of Gold Nuggets of Godly Revelation that can be gleaned from this event but I didn’t find a satisfactory answer to my question “Was Jesus RUDE to His mother in His response to her request for wine?”

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
This rebuke of Jesus to His mother reminds me of when Jesus told His disciples that He was going to Jerusalem to suffer acquisition and be killed and raised up on the third day … And Peter rebuked Jesus by saying “God forbid it Lord” … And then Jesus rebuked Peter saying “Get behind me Satan!, you are a stumbling block to Me” (Matthew 16:21-23).
Jesus loved Peter but he couldn’t let anything get in His way to the cross, not the good intentions of His friend or His mother!
In addition to His mother and Peter, Jesus rebuked others who knew Him and expressed concern for Him (like Martha) … or they expressed concern for the Kingdom of God (like James, John and His brothers) according to their own understanding. But that is the problem with sin, it does not only cause murder, theft and covetousness … it also causes us to desire what “seems good” based on human reasoning … the gospel of Nice which is in opposition to the gospel of Christ.
If we were in Jerusalem at that time, like those who knew Jesus, we would not fully comprehend that Christ’s mission was to be CRUCIFIED for our sin … in fact we may have been one of the people who shouted for His death … Crucify Him! Crucify Him!
But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And the voices of these men and of the chief priests prevailed. So Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they requested. – Luke 23:23-24
But He forgave them … It was not the nails that held Jesus to the Cross but His love for us!
And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do … – Luke 23:33-34
Many commentators say that Jesus calling his mother “Woman” was not an insult in that culture at that time but even if that is true, Jesus makes it CLEAR to her that the purpose of His MIRACLE working power was not to solve embarrassing problems or to make Him famous like a magician or to get people drunk with wine but His miracles are SIGNS and WONDERS to show and prove that He is the Son of God, according to the scriptures.
“If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You, and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’ ” – Matthew 4:6
Ironically, Jesus had just completed 40 days of fasting and temptation from Satan in the wilderness where one of the temptations was to fly down in front of an audience to prove how great He is … like a stage show … for FAME and Pride. But Jesus didn’t come to become Famous among men … He didn’t come to prove He was better than everyone else according to the way people judge greatness among men. Jesus came to do the exact opposite thing according to man’s wisdom … He humbled Himself and took our burdens, to show us how to compete in loving one another … becoming a servant to all … and a success in the eyes of God.
Jesus did perform the miracle requested by his mother, He changed the water into wine but He didn’t do it like a stage show before the Wedding party to get attention and applause … but He did it discretely, subtly, where only His disciples and a few servants knew what happened. Perhaps Jesus told the servants to remain silent about how the “good wine” was produced and He convinced them to do so.
This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him. – Jon 2:11
Some commentators said Mary was co-hosting the event, or that one of her children (Jesus’ sibling, maybe James), was getting married and therefore her request was just a practice plea for help from her son, as though Jesus might go somewhere quickly and purchase more wine and bring it to the wedding feast. But Jesus’ rebuke to her request makes it clear that she is asking for a MIRACLE, which would begin His ministry … His walk to the cross!
If Mary truly knew that the miracle would begin her Son’s walk to the cross, was she being cruel or callous toward Him, because she asked this in the presence of His disciples and the servants … instead of discussing this with Him privately? Did Mary receive a special revelation from God that Jesus’ miracle-working ministry should begin at a Wedding … because a Wedding is the purpose of His ministry? I don’t think either of these motives are true … I think Mary was honestly concerned for the wedding couple and the wedding guests and she had not fully grasped the purpose of her Son and how the miracle could have given the wrong impression to others about His identity and purpose.
The Catholics have a “field day” with their analysis of this event and they say that this proves that Jesus is subservient to His mother and He has to obey her every “fiat” command, which fuels their idolatry of the “Virgin Mary” and justifies the reason they pray to Mary requesting her to inform Jesus on what to do for them… what Blasphemy!

The earliest Christians recognized that Jesus was the New Adam, a truth succinctly expressed by Paul’s formulation, “as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22). In the second century, Irenaeus connected this recapitulatio, “re-heading,” of humankind by the New Adam with that of Mary, the New Eve.

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. – Genesis 2:23-24
“Woman” is the title of the Bride of Adam and “Woman” is the title Jesus uses to address His mother and this is the way He addresses others, like the Woman at the Well or the Woman caught in adultery, to indicate that their Spiritual connection to Him is like a Bride to Him,
When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” – John 8:10
So it can be said that when Jesus responds to His mother as “Woman” He is indirectly discussing His Marriage vow to His Bride the Church on the cross and He is saying that this time has not yet come. I do think Jesus rebuked His mother but it was similar to the way He rebuked Peter, He did it without malice but in love, to proclaim to His mother and His disciples that He would fulfill His vow on the Cross at the proper time … based on God’s will ALONE … not to impress them or win their favor to RULE over them.
On the cross, Jesus offered the wine of the marriage cup which is His blood …. and those who believe in Him drink His blood, the wine of the marriage cup, and by believing in Him they become His Bride forever.
Perhaps the exchange sounded more like this to their ears …
Mary: “The wedding bride and groom are out of wine”
Jesus: “My purpose for what I do is to provide the marriage cup of wine for me and My Woman, My Bride … and my hour to propose to My Bride on the cross and offer my blood as the wine has not yet come.”
Mary: “Yes, Praise God, May it be according to His will … I trust You to do what is best today as I have trusted God every day … servants listen to Him”
“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it happen to me according to your word.” Then the angel left her. – Luke 1:38
Here is the first recorded example of Mary’s obedience to God when she agreed to give birth to the Son of God. However, being obedient to God is of no Eternal value if you don’t BELIEVE in God’s Son, who is your redemption from SIN to give you Eternal life.
And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!” But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” – Luke 11:27-28
To KEEP the word of God is to BELIEVE in God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment – 1 John 3:23
Jesus is not refuting that Mary is indeed blessed because of her faithfulness to birth Him and raise Him but He is indicating that her Spiritual condition, to believe in Him, is infinitely more of a blessing than to be chosen by God to be the bearer of the seed of the New Adam.
In summary:
(1) “Was Jesus RUDE to His mother, Mary, in His response to her to provide wine for the Wedding at Cana” … No, He rebuked her for her lack of understanding about His purpose but it was for her benefit to proclaim who He was and allow Him to fulfill the request.
(2) “Did Mary REALIZE that her request to perform a MIRACLE meant she hastening her Son’s journey to the Cross?” … No, she did it out of concern for the bride, groom and guests, ignorant of what the request meant to Jesus. She was like Martha who was concerned for the needs of others but she was unaware of “Mary’s” need for love and fellowship with Jesus.
The Bride of Christ is the Body of Spiritually Born born-again people who BELIEVE in Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Head and Husband of the Bride, the Body of Believers. Jesus has a Husband and Wife relationship with Born Again Believers who are Saved from the time of the Cross until the time of the Rapture.
Jesus’ Bride is also called the “New Jerusalem” which includes all HUMANS who BELIEVE in Christ since the Creation of Heaven and Earth until the Resurrection of the New Heaven and Earth!

Revelation 21: 9Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, 11having the glory of God. Jesus did act, performing His first miracle at the wedding in Cana. He turned the water into wine, but He did so in a very subtle, subdued way. Only the servants, Mary, and a few disciples even knew what He had done. The miracle was to introduce the disciples to His ability, not to show off or to go public with His power (see John 2:11).

Now back to the suggestion of Jesus’ brothers that He leave Capernaum and go to Judea for the Feast of Booths. Notice the reason that they gave Him, “. . . so that Your disciples may see Your works which You are doing . . .” They said, “Your disciples.” That is a detached comment. Also, notice the word “Your.” Their statement reveals that they were not Jesus’ disciples yet. We know that James and Judas become Christians later because they wrote the two New Testament books of James and Jude. But they were not Christians yet at this point in time.
